ODE EKITI CHURCH

THE SEVENTH DAY ADVENTIST CHURCH, ODE-EKITI
To the glory of God and blessing of mankind the seed of Seventh-Day Adventist faith in Ode Ekiti, was sowed and germinated in the year 2004 through the commitment of God’s servants. The team called Voice of Hope in the then South West Nigeria Conference, Akure, led by Pastor E. A. Adeleye (now Dr. Adeleye), was used for this work.
The team came to Ode community to conduct three weeks outreach programme. At the end of the programme, fifty souls were baptized; some of those who were baptized were Madam Owolabi, Rachael Oke, Mr. Kofi Oduro, and Mrs. Lawrence Olayemi. They rented a shop as a place of worship, and these people are still in the church doing well till today.
The first pioneer Pastor appointed to take care of the new converts was Evangelist E. O. Ogunyemi. After him Pastor M. B. Akintola was posted to the church on the 28th of Aprill, 2005 to 2nd of November, 2008 while Pastor Alabi, T. A. took over from him till date.
